SCi Cutting Corners (and Jobs)
SCi Entertainment, Publisher of such series as Hitman, Tomb Raider and Championship Manager, has revealed plans to “revamp” the company. Plans involving scrapping 14 projects and giving 260 
employees the sack. Nice.
This news comes after revelations that the company made an 81.4 million dollar loss last year, a problem which they’ve decided to combat with, well.. more money. 55 Million dollars more money. Figures.
SCi are shedding pounds in an attempt to become harder, better, faster and stronger.

I was hoping SCI would churn out a next-gen Carmageddon game at some point. I think that series has a lot of potential, despite the various flaws of the first couple of games. If they were to add customizable cars, online multiplayer, and destructible environments, like shopping malls and office buildings that you could drive inside, as well as advanced ragdoll physics and gore effects on the pedestrians, it would be one of the best alternative racing games ever. Now that this downsizing is going on, it’ll probably never happen.
