excitementNow normally you have no doubt come to expect a certain amount of quality and comment from our posts here at GoYUK, but for this one I just haven’t got it in me. I’m too excited.

Grand Theft Auto will be the Complete Game. It’s official. Not even Smash Bros will keep us happy for as long as GTA IV promises to. I’m not even going to do my own writeup for the news, I’ll just copy and paste! Lookies!

Each player can customize the character’s appearance, gender and race, among other details.

The fourteen identified multiplayer modes identified are:

WORLD FIRST! - Sims 3 preview with In-Game Pics

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Yes, that's in-gameThe latest edition of UK gaming mag PCGamer comes with a massive 5 page preview of the Sims 3, with the first released in-game screen-shots. PCGamer is a reliable magazine which we trust which makes the fact that the graphics are horrible even harder for us to swallow. On the bright side, the though of seamless integrated communities and neighbourhoods sounds fantastic as do most of the other features outlined in the feature. Also, the pictures are from an early beta so there is still time for (much needed) graphical improvement. Here are a few crops from scans of pictures found in preview, hit the jump for the full preview uploaded kindly by the folks at InfiniteSims.com

God of War: Chains of Olympus - First Impressions

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

My Precious Underlings!GameOnYou, the wily tricksters that we are, have managed to get hold of a copy of the US version of God of War for the PSP.

It was a dark night when we strapped instructions to the back of our underlings and sent them westwards, toward the USA to find us a copy of the much coveted GoW: Chains of Olympus. Sadly only one returned, reporting back that the half of the group had to crash land as a result of achy-breaky pelvis, a severe illness which can only be contracted by underlings within a 100 mile radius of an earthquake. We figured that they would be safe in their natural habitat, Yorkshire, but we predicted wrong. It turns out that the other half went to Hollywood in order to pursue the American Dream. 4 died of Heroin overdose and one of them is starring in a piece for television. He plays the role of the ‘Before’ in an exercise machine informercial. The remaining underling held out the box then collapsed. I later snapped his neck. (more…)

Football Manager Live - Preview blowout!

Friday, March 7th, 2008

FMLive LogoNews has been kind of slow lately. This isn’t because of some sinister lack of activity in the world. Oh no, this is something much more threatening.

We have been subjecting ourselves to a life of servitude in the name of the MMO God. But hark, there are no elves here. No dwarves slinging their axes maniacally at orcs. Nay, my friends. This… is Football Manager Live.

Friday, March 7th, 2008

BFHeroesGIFThose quirky purveyors of unadulterated fun over at Dice have updated their blog. On first glance, this makes us think “Why? Then we actually read some of the words, and it turns out it was quite a delightful insight into the game. Read on, valued… reader.

It’s official: We want Battlefield Heroes

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Battlefield HeroesTotal PC Gaming this month has a nice multi-page spread about EA’s upcoming fun-fest, Battlefield Heroes. This ad-supported, play-4-free title looks to take the Battlefield formula of semi-realism combined with tactics and teamwork and turn it into something much more accessible.

We at GoYUK Manor are long-standing fans of the Battlefield series. The fact that communication with your teammates along with a little bit of thinking power can overcome even the h4xiest of all 12-year-olds just makes us go weak at the knees.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing much more about this cartoony bag of awesome over the coming weeks, but for now we invite you to join us in collective salivation over the first trailer for the game.

Watch the trailer after the post break.
